Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Sydney has now discovered how to use rolling to get places. I'm not sure where she actually thinks she's going but you can tell she's excited to get there. Guess it's time to start baby proofing!! (Notice the big brown blanket that I put on the floor for her to play on--she just rolls right off of it!)

This weekend Shane, Samantha, Coltin & Dustin came to Dallas to visit. We had such a great time with them here! On Saturday we did a little shopping (it was tax free weekend afterall) and then went to Gatti Town that night for dinner and games. The boys had such a great time there! I think Dustin was a little unsure about going to a new Sunday school class at church but once he got there and saw all the toys, he was thrilled and walked right into his room. And of course Coltin had no problem going to his Sunday school class! After church we went to lunch and then everyone flew home to Houston. It was so much fun having everyone here!

Sydney tries to eat everything now!

So it's official...Sydney wants to eat everything she can get her little hands on lately. This can be (but not limited to) her hand, my hand, Craig's hand, basically anyone's hand, her foot, all toys, blankets and the list goes on and on.

Practicing!

When we went to the pediatrician for Sydney's 4 month appointment, we were told to make sure she gets lots of time on her tummy and that she is practicing sitting up. So I thought to myself, "how exactly does one go about practicing to sit?" Am I supposed to just hold her in a sitting position? And then I had a lightbulb moment! I could sit her up in the boppy so that if she falls to the side her backwards she'd be protected. I know, I'm a genius! :)

Fun in the Sun!

Last weekend we went to Houston to visit Craig's dad for his birthday and my mom for her birthday. We had a great time seeing everyone and of course they all had a great time seeing Sydney! While we were at Craig's parents house, we decided to go swimming in their pool and Granny gave Sydney a new float. She loves sitting in the float all laid back. It's great too because it has a little canopy so she stays out of the sun when she's in the water.

4 months old!

Well once again, I can't believe another month has flown by. Yesterday (August 2) was Sydney's 4 month birthday. We went for her checkup at the pediatrician's office and she is 14 lbs even & 24 3/4 inches long. She also had 4 more shots but this time I had Craig with me too--so I comforted Sydney and he comforted me! She is just now starting to laugh and we are having so much fun with her. She is such a joy in our lives and we are so blessed to be her parents!

Sydney found her TOES!

It's another big accomplishment for Miss Sydney Claire! She recently became really interested in her feet and now she loves to grab onto and hold her toes. It's too cute!
